I know this don’t have nothing to do with Call of Duty; however, its kinda kewl. I am in process of installing Linux on my Playstation 3. I will give a tutorial on how to do this if any are interested, plus I will let you know how mine turns out. I did have some hiccups when I formatted PS3 hard drive (AFTER I BACKED UP FILES). When I reloaded files from backup: The first night it was fine. The second night I could no longer play Der Riese or anything from Map packs 1, 2, and 3. So I went to Playstation store to download those Map Packs again, but before I started to install…..I noticed they now worked again….”Got me”…”Don’t know what happened” But PS3 GAMING works just like always (one other glitch was all custom classes had to be renamed, but setups were there) I am just now installing linux to take a break from HQ (Headquarters) on Double XP weekend….That’s right its also double XP and ALL map packs (for World at War) are 50% off until Nov 1, 2009. We’ll see how it goes then get back to HQ.

IMPORTANT!
To get back to the XMB “PS3″ after a Linux install
at “Kboot:” Prompt
Type in “game” without the quotes and hit enter

When you go to the “Mirrors” to download, select “ISO” folder then “yellowdog-6.2-ppc-DVD_20090629.iso ” NOT “yellowdog-6.1-ppc-DVD_20090201_NEW_PS3.iso” because it says PS3 in it. The most current is version 6.2 and it INCLUDES PS3, even though it doesn’t say so. Version 6.2 has added feature to use video ram (which PS3 is loaded with) and supposedly is 50% faster than version 6.1. Another note is: if you don’t want to use Yellow Dog Linux then I’ve heard (but haven’t tried) that you should be able to use any Linux release that is 64 bit PPC (Power PC Processor), but why not use on made specifically for PS3?

Can you believe it! I guess it was too hard. If just one person would have participated, they would’ve received a free game worth over $60.00. But NOBODY did. WOW. If you have feedback on why this was soooooo difficult, please advise CODBUNKER so we can make contests in the future…..EASIER??? Really, I would like to give away free stuff. This site has yet to earn a dime, it is only supported by adds you see to the left. Which currently has come nowhere close to bringing in what is going out. That being said, I still want to give things away and hopefully someday this will make some dough to enable giving something away weekly, if not at least monthly. No other site out there with this format does that. Why not have one with info and a place to comment your ideas but also has free stuff! I will come up with a NEW contest soon based on comments received.

This is an update to the multiple gun glitch on Der Riese. (Original Video at bottom of post)
No longer to you have to obtain 12 weapons to only upgrade 6 by trading them in. Now you can upgrade ALL 12, or how ever many guns you have without trading in a gun! This works for Host also. YOU MUST HAVE a bouncing betty available. When you go to the PAP (Pack a Punch) machine, you insert your gun that you are going to upgrade, then cycle through your guns for your worst weapon (in case you mess up, until you get good at it) then when weapon comes back upgraded and ready to take from the PAP then Ready a betty. As soon as Betty starts to come up immediately hit button to take weapon, and hold for approximately 2 seconds. Cycle through your guns and you should see that you now have the upgraded gun but have not lost any others if done correctly. It takes a little practice, but is basically easy. Good luck.
