MW3 DLC Map “Liberation”

Here is a look at the Map Pack “First Offensive” DLC Map “Liberation” along with a little commentary………I also talk a little about the Elite “Exclusive Content” along with the Xbox Exclusive Content over PC & PS3 and give my little “rant” or two cents if you will. But just wanted to show you all that do not have this content yet what they look like. IMHO I like both of the Maps “Liberation” & “Piazza” (to my surprise, I REALLY like them) even though Liberation is more of a Sniper haven type map, I really enjoyed it (as a runner gunner type) but I really love Piazza the most. MW3 Token Glitchers Get a “Reset” Button

This is not NEW news, but I just wanted to re-hash it, cause I happen to find it very funny. Yes those peeps out there that took advantage of an “exploit” in Modern Warfare 3 where you could get unlimited “Tokens” therefore giving you unlimited Double XP don’t think it was such a good idea now, LOL Before I laugh too hard about it and upset those that did, YES, it was IW/SHG fault that the exploit existed in the first place; however, they did not force you to make the decision to use it, thus giving yourself a huge advantage in prestiging, etc.. There were many CODBUNKER CLAN mates that I just couldn’t keep up with, and comparing stats, I didn’t know why (I was smart enough to do the math in my head and “new” what they were doing, yet they would deny it) But now those 8-10th prestiges are ZERO. But the kicker which I find hilarious (not trying to throw salt on the wound…..but) they didn’t reset ALL stats, just stuff like ALL your kills but LEFT ALL the deaths, the wins got erased, but not the losses. So those that did this with KDR’s of 2.50 or better are now at 0.14 and Win Ratios of 0.02 It will take until Black Ops 2 comes out for them to get to an EVEN status now………..WOW. That was PERFECT. Here is why I say perfect: I don’t feel that such an infraction hurt anybody but themselves; therefore, I’m glad they didn’t get Banned (I think this would’ve been WAY OFF BASE) but what they did do, IMHO is the perfect solution, because it affects only them.

Ok, I’m off that subject now, I just couldn’t resist when talking a bit about it, cause I see SO MANY Prestige 1′s nowadays and checking leaderboard stats, I laugh every time. In the meantime, I’m sitting at 6th almost 7th prestige, with 1.11 KDR and 4.28 Win Ratio………..ALL LEGIT. Catch me if you can

MW3 MAP Packs coming Jan 24 for ELITE members

Activision announced the DLC Map Packs are due out FIRST on XBOX for ELITE Premium members on January 24, 2012 (Partial Press Release below). Modern Warfare 3 will soon have 2 multiplayer maps “Liberation” (Based in New York) and “Piazza” (Based in Italy) and as always Xbox first then all others, typically 30 days later. Please don’t ask they SAME question, “What about Playstation?” If you have forgotten already the Microsoft Deal, I’ve added it’s partial Press Release from ATVI at the very bottom as well. I’m not sure exactly how this will work for non ELITE members, yet………I’m not even sure if IW or SHG does yet either but as a Premium ELITE, you will see it first, as well as, EXCLUSIVE content, and always XBOX first. I know this seems confusing to many, too be honest, I slightly confused myself, but at any rate they are coming and no matter which platform you prefer,they will be here soon enough, so let’s just be patient……..K

Below is video to help explain more and reveal some of these maps, but be sure to READ the PR’s below for more specifics, especially the last one that seems anger PS3 Peeps EVERY time there is a DLC. Look on the bright side though PS3 peeps, note it states “through 2012″, well that’d mean one year left of this contract, unless MSFT dumps more money on the table (which they probably will, LOL)

All content drops for Call of Duty Elite premium members will occur once a month, starting in January for Xbox Live users and will continue through the year, ending in September. During the first three months of 2012, Activision will release five different content drops on three occasions in January, February and March, first on Xbox Live, followed by additional platforms at a later time.

The first two Content Drops will be multiplayer maps—also playable in Modern Warfare 3 Survival Mode—that throw combatants into a war-torn Central Park and an Italian seaside village. Liberation is a vast, militarized landscape, ripe for long-range sniper and LMG fire, with mounted turrets on either end that lend power to anyone brave enough to expose themselves in exchange for deadly firepower. Piazza is the idyllic Italian getaway that is anything but, where tight corners and branching pathways pose great risk at every turn. How to Level up FAST MW3? Play “Drop Zone!”

This week (of Dec 11, 2011) Modern Warfare 3 came out with the Playlist for DROP ZONE. If you haven’t played it yet, you must, it can get you leveled up and prestiged in no time………….LOTS of points to be had here Read How to play, then recommendations then check video below to get an idea of how fun, or frustrating this mode can be.

How do you play it?
Well, the objective is similar to Headquarters, somewhat. An area will appear on map, at first always in the middle of your spawn points (yours & enemies). It will be a red circle with reddish halo around that circle and as soon as any team gets there, they will receive a care package. So don’t worry about Killstreaks, there ARE NONE in this mode, just the Care Packages that get dropped. Whomever gets awarded the CP, they can quickly aquire the CP; however, you teammates & enemies can capture it also, just takes longer. Also while a team has control of cirlce, you will receive 20 points for EACH team member in the circle per SECOND…..THIS ADDS UP FAST. This is why you want a team that plays as a team (no lone wolfs here, if you want points) You still get 50 points per kill also, but the big points come from being in the Drop Zone.

A note on the DZ, After game has stared and someone has entered the DZ, it gets VERY busy around there, because the Spawn points for both teams are typically very close to the DZ. Also I’ve noticed that when we have be ahead in points a lot (or maybe it’s because we’ve won so many in a row) that when new DZ pops up….(They rotate appx every 2 minutes or so) that it spawns the losing team ON TOP OF the new DZ, my guess is IW/Sledgehammer trying to keep it exciting, just take note of it, tell us if you noticed this too.

Recommendations for Drop Zone on MW3:
As stated before, this requires team play, so here are some tips that at least SOME of your teammates have available.
TROPHY SYSTEM: This saves you a** when Predators, Javelins, Nade Launchers, regular Nades come flying in!
JAVELIN: Can be used to Multi-Kill another team not using Trophy system, or to knock stuff obtained by CP’s out of the sky.
TACTICAL INSERTION: This can keep you even CLOSER to the action.
RIOT SHIELD: This can protect you from the onslaught and keep your team in control of DZ. (Recommend Scavenger & Throwing Knife with this setup)
BLAST SHIELD PRO: Lots of explosives in the DZ!
SITREP: Lets you identify enemy “Fake” CP Bombs, before you try to steal them and get blown up.

So these are a few tips. Try to create a team where some are fast (so they can get to DZ first), some that can absorb explosive damage, and 1 or 2 that are “shooters” This is fast and stressful game, and if played as a team your KDR will suffer; however, you will get MAD POINTS.

In the video, you’ll note my score is not HUGE, because it seemed pretty quick; however, there have been plenty of 5k-8k matches without any challenges, so good luck and level up! (OH, and before anybody asks….YES a trophy system CAN take out a predator & Javelin!)
