PS3 Firmware Update 3.41 is now live.

As stated on Playstation Blog:

“Firmware update 3.41 will add recommendations for games and videos on PlayStation Store. When you’re browsing through the details of a particular title, you’ll see a new “You May Like” section on the right-hand side. This section lists additional items based on the purchases of other PlayStation Network members who have purchased the item you’re currently looking at.

You can then click on this section to zoom in on the list and scroll the recommended titles.

This feature is a great way to discover new games that you may not know about, and it’s another step toward making the shopping experience easier and better for you all — similar to the five-star ratings feature we added in the last firmware update. Please note that while the 3.41 update will be released shortly, the recommendations feature on PlayStation Store is slated to go live by the end of July.

In addition to this PS3 update, the next PSP (PlayStation Portable) firmware update (v.6.31) will be coming as well. This is a minor update, and system software stability during use of some PSP format software titles has been improved.”

Because it was tweeted by IW’s front man Robert Bowling, I thought at first it may be true,
I have tried it multiple times, and cannot do it. Then if you go to the authors utube page
here is his self description:

If you would like to commission me for visual effects, animated logos / titles etc.”

So in other words, it would be easy for a “visual effects artist” to pull this off.

Call of Duty Lego Ops COD8 ???

This is sooo funny I had to post it. It was sent in a tweet by Josh Olin (JD_2020 of Treyarch). Could this be the theme for the next Call of Duty COD8 ??? Must watch and share with you friends, its to kewl! BTW, you’ll notice Lego man must have Danger Close, as he starts his first kill with Noob Tubing!!! Too funny!!!

Currently downloading it for PS3 at 7:47PM EST (New York Time) I did a search in Playstion Store for “resurgence”, it showed up, I purchased, and am currently downloading as you see in pic below.

Do you travel with Call of Duty?

I am on business in Connecticut, so I thought…..How many peeps travel and take Call of Duty with them….Am I the ONLY person that addicted??? LOL. Here is a Pic of my setup at the Hilton, (So far their Wifi is acceptable). I fortunately brought my own 22 inch 1080p, they did not have a flat screen…..AT THE HILTON!?? You’ll also notice the brand new PS3 Slim I had to purchase near midnight (thank you Walmart for staying open 24hrs) because my fat boy 60 Gig stopped reading discs (I’ll give more on that later). Hilton’s wifi grade: B+ (could be faster), signal strength was great, and I had the following connected:
Droid
PS3
Laptop #1
Laptop #2

PS3 MW2 Update 1.11

There is a 16Mb download (not much) of update 1.11 on PS3 for Modern Warfare 2. More than likely this will add the “New Maps available” on bottom screen like before in DLC #1. Then all Map Pack 1 (Stimulus) will fall into the rest of playlist and Map Pack 2 “Resurgence” will have its OWN spot on game types. In other words, more than likely just a shift around, re-organize type stuff. Oh and don’t forget there were supposed to be some games that are “Killstreak Free”, PS3 was also promised Double XP, I am logging on now to check (now that I have updated to 1.11.

Just like I said above:
There is “New Map Pack Available”, two “Barebones Pro” and “Resurgence with and without HC”
That’s the latest at 11:08 EST
