After the update to CODBUNKER (actually before, even more so now)
This website does not support IE6, (most websites don’t for that matter.)
There are a lot of security flaws in IE6, and features that are not available in the newer browsers
Please take the time and install a GOOD browser such as some of the ones listed below. I have listed them in order of which is best IMHO.

CODBUNKER.com is design mostly around Firefox and IE8.

Call of Duty Community is UP!

I posted earlier that I would have the Forums up and going by this weekend……………
Well, I decided to go one step further and instead of just having a Call of Duty forum (there are sooooo many) I thought, “why not have a community”. So CODBUNKER has morph’d into a Blog/Forum/Community. This is in beta form at the moment so there may be bugs (bear with me LOL) But here not only can you read about news, glitches, etc…..and post your thoughts on a forum……BUT….You can connect with you buddies online and make new ones. It is similar to a Facebook/MySpace type setup. Browse around, join, create your own groups and connect. You can even create your own PRIVATE groups (such as you clan) so only they can see it, then discuss your strategies. Have fun. Give feedback

When will MW2 Map Packs be here?

Answer: A vague “by spring”, however I’ve heard as early as April. There is a lot of buzz on the DLC for MW2. I’ve done a lot of research, but wanted to get firm dates and content before posting on this; however, Dillon sent me an email asking me about them:

“I have been seeing many claims about the new dlc supposedly coming out soon and i was wondering what you knew about this”

Here is what I know so far (remember….I have not been able to verify for a fact on these but strongly feel the info below will be REAL close if not dead on).

~ There will be 2 Map packs this year for MW2.
~ MP 1 should be released as early as April (makes sense….. tax returns…..LOL)
~ 1st MP will have 5 maps, 3 new ones and 2 “upgraded” COD4 maps.
~ Map names: Compact, Complex, Crash, Overgrown, and Storm.
~ Xbox will get DLC for 30 days before available on PS3 (BOOOOOOOO!!!!)

~ That is all I know at present. THESE ARE NOT OFFICIAL YET!

Call of Duty Forum

Finishing up a Call of Duty Forum here on CODBUNKER is my goal by this weekend. I tried to integrate with current system last weekend…….major FAIL! So I am creating forum to reside separate from main system, yet still on CODBUNKER. CODBUNKER is also getting involved in social media………”It’s the thing to do nowadays” So I have already set up twitter account that you can follow, right now I am setting up a Facebook Fan Page. This may take more time than I thought, because I didn’t realize how EVERYBODY has a FB page. Just in the very beginnings of setting it up I seen lots of peeps I haven’t seen in YEARS! I am a sucker for wondering “Hey what ever happened to so and so?” I will try very hard to resist the social networking while tending to CODBUNKER.com first, but it will be hard LOL. Also I will limit MW2 playing time, so nobody prestige without me, I’ll be back for some HQ soon.

BTW:
I can call the forum…….um……forum, but thought of maybe CODBUNKER Chatter, scuttlebutt, locker, or outpost to name a few ideas………..Comment with your input and ideas!!!

Playstation Battery Fix?

If you have read all the news and articles that I have today, it seems that problems with the “Global Playstation Network Outage” is that there is a glitch caused by when GMT time switch to March 1, 2010 from February 28, 2010. There is “allegedly” math done by your local “fat boy” PS3 to convert GMT to your time, and somewhere along the line the GMT or the PS3 (not sure which since Sony is being sooooooo quiet and hush hush) is trying to flip to February 29, 2010 and the math goes berzerk (logic is either on or off…..no grey areas) and Kaboom! There is a lot of speculation that after midnight GMT tonight this problem will resolve itself. There are also those saying that you can open you PS3 and pull out the internal battery (CMOS battery for you computer types) and reset the clock manually. (CAUTION: They also say this will void your warranty and you could damage your PS3 if you do not know what you are doing) I was able to play up until 10:30pm EST last night until I voluntarily logged off and shut down machine myself…………Sooooooo I think I am going to go into my Man Cave and give it a try (they tell you not to do this, but I have backups of files and I’M NOT SCARED! LOL) If it does blow up though, I will perform the surgery on the battery and video it to upload to CODBUNKER for the curious. You never know this could last for quite some time…..Sony did come out and LIE to us stating it was the network at first (maybe they just didn’t know and were guessing……right!) So am I/we supposed to believe this will just fix itself. Since they have been so quiet, I don’t have a lot of faith in them LOL. Rumor is they even shut down their blog “for maintenance” today (I think it was they were tired of getting flamed!) But anyway, wish me luck. If I get on I guess I’ll be playing with the PS3 Slimmers out there with my magic fat boy, or I’ll be creating a tutorial…………stay tuned……………

Can’t connect to Playstation Network?

That’s because Playstation Network is down….and good. From what I have gathered it seems to only affect the older models (not the PS3 slims). Death_by_me_75 first brought this to my attention when he could not log on to play so HQ with me. We troubleshot and went through all his settings, and they were all correct. He called his cable company and they had word of the PSN outage. Then CanadianK1ng sends me an email of some “virus” attack PSN servers. So I have done much searching and found just the above info, for the most part. I have seen some blogs stating that people are losing their trophy information. This is unconfirmed, but I would recommend that you stick in your usb stick and back up anyway. Here is more info cut and pasted from Sony Playstation’s Twitter account:
