DO NOT BUY Netgear WNR2000v2 for COD

October 18, 2010 in NEWS

I made a post earlier about a connecting to friends issue that many Modern Warfare 2 players were having and all of the sudden (after a ISP, Modem and Router change) I basically stated after troubleshooting that I found fault to be the Netgear WNR2000v2 router. Since this router does not work, I thought I’d share that with you in case others had the same issue. I did not say NETGEAR SUX! I said that the Netgear WNR2000v2 DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY with MW2. Then I tweeted my post as I always do. I could not believe the reply that I got from NetGear (A BILLION DOLLAR COMPANY). Here is the Reply:

“CODBUNKER Wow – ty for the kind post – much appreciated!”

Netgear-router-cryHOW IMMATURE NETGEAR! Do you need a MIDOL??? I tweeted this issue to Charter Communications…..BAM a response “CharterGeorge: How can I help?” “ATVI_Mikey: How can I help?” and NOTHING from the sniveling little crybabies from Netgear. I make a post on a product that does not work with PS3 and MW2…..BAM I get your childish response…..That’s “WOW” and your Tech Support (lack thereof) was “much appreciated” (my childish sarcasm there :P ) I even checked your lousy website for an updated firmware and I was left in the dark. I set your shitty router up as DMZ to my PS3…..nothing, I port forwarded to ports ATVI_Mikey told me to……nothing. I like a router that does what I tell it to do weird concept I know! So I got the LinkSys Router and all was well. One more time…..I stated YOUR ROUTER did not work (not saying they all are shitty, just that one) You won’t respond with help, but do respond with sarcasm. Next customer you interact with……I’d suggest to a Billion Dollar Company (market cap is close enough)… say: “How can we help you solve this problem” if after the fact since your tech support sux, I’d say “Sorry that we did not respond in time to help you, but we will look into this problem and correct it so others will not have the same issue, our apologies once again”……My final consensus on Netgear…….THEY SUCK!

  1. If this gets out I have a feeling some going to get fired…haha

  2. Dalton,
LOL, That’s what a guy at work said, that it probably was a minimum wage employee that responds to tweets; however, this is a Billion $$$ company and that’s pretty piss poor if that is the case. So yeah I think somebody may have screwed themselves on this one, then again wouldn’t you think the “Brass” monitors their own Twitter acct and would’ve made somebody quickly apologize????? who know???

  3. Same thing happened with a friend mine, his router is a netgear wnr1000 and we can’t play together, if i invite him directly to my party i can’t join, same thing if he invite me.

    So, netgear REALLY SUCKS!!!!

    Greetings from Acapulco, Mexico
