  12. Abdul,
Read front page post, we just have to wait for Activision to pay the electric bill for their servers……………

  13. Do u all have a ps3 slim? Mayby is that problem only with that ps3 slim, because i have the same problem

  14. It is not just the PS3 Slim. After calling PSN, Infinity Ward, and Activision….I found out the problem was the Activision Servers for the PS Network. They have since resolved it. If you are still having problems connecting here is what Activision stated:

If you are having issues connecting to online games please note that currently the servers are down.

    Stand by….

We are aware of this issue and are working to get the servers back up again. If you still have issues connecting to servers after the servers have been repaired please check the following:

    * Disable any firewall or security features within your router
    * Set port forwarding on your router to the IP address of your Playstation 3. This game uses port 3074 (UDP/TCP).

    – Place your Playstation 3 into the DMZ of your router.

    – If both fail, disconnect your router and try the game. If it works regularly at this point something about your router may not be completely compatible with the specific needs of this game. Check with your router manufacturer for additional steps that may need to be done to resolve the issue you are having.

NOTE: If setting port forwarding or DMZ helps your connection issue, you may want to assign your Playstation 3 a static IP address within your home network. This can help to ensure that the configurations you made do not need to done again.

NOTE: Many broadband internet modems are coming with routing capabilities built in. Please contact your internet service provider to determine if your internet modem has an integrated router. If it does, they should be able to assist you with the steps above for setting up your router.

    * Once you have verified that your network setup is not the cause of the issue you can try the following.

    – Try connecting to a different server. Some servers may have other players connected to them that you do not have an optimal connection with.

    – Back out to the main menu and select Multiplayer and then attempt to join a game.

If you are having issues with trophies please note that the latest update to the game fixes issues with trophies unlocking. Make sure that you are logged into the Playstation network before launching the game. Once you are logged in and launch the game you will be prompted to download the update. Please download and install the update. This should resolve the issue.

If your problem is not listed above or you are still having issues please respond back to this incident and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Please note that due to heavy volume it may take longer that usual to get back to you.

  15. I just started getting problems with the matchmaking server i have NAT 2 Type and fast internet is there anyway to find out whats wrong

  16. Antonio,

Does your nat type say “open”
It could be your ISP (Internet Service Provider), could be your router setup.
Check with ISP to make sure they do not block ports 5223, 3478, 3479, and 3658.
Also try to DMZ your router for PS3 check my post

    Hope this helps.

  17. its not just ps3′s with this problem either… Damn it infinity ward and microsoft and activision. I WANNA KILL STUFF!!!

  18. bob,
did you try below link, just in case it might be your router?
If you NAT type say “OPEN” on main lobby screen then probably not your router, just a suggestion

  20. Could be just their severs Earl, check with some of your m8′s but could be your router search “blog posts” on site for DMZ
