THEY answered the REAL CALL OF DUTY!

August 14, 2011 in General Discussion, NEWS

fallen-soldiers-sealsBefore you turn on your Console or PC to play the gaming worlds most popular game “Call of Duty” (Modern Warfare, World at War, Modern Warfare 2, or Black Ops), let’s pause for a moment to remember what this game is about and why we have the freedom to play it for hours on end. COD is based on Special Forces (United States Navy Seals, British SAS, Task Force 141, U.S. Army Rangers, and U.S. Marines to name a few) that combat the “enemy” in campaign modes and allow you to play against each other in Multiplayer modes. This is a game, that many of us forget that is played out in REAL LIFE by an Elite group of people that actually sacrifice their lives for their countries and cause. There is NO “RESPAWN” and they do this exciting yet very deadly job to give us the freedom to enjoy this game (Call of Duty) that is based on their REAL lives. I’d bet that those that have given the ultimate sacrifice would do it all over again with no regrets if we would be able to ask them. These ELITE are a very special breed and truly are REAL HEROES in every aspect of the term!

Recently as you know the United States had a CH-47 Chinook shot down in Afghanistan by Taliban forces by an EXTREMELY luck shot with an RPG. (The occasional across the map tomahawk kill is thousands of times more likely in COD Black Ops). CODBUNKER.com wanted to show it’s support for the loss of these HEROES, as well as the many HEROES before and after them, be it SpecWar Forces, “General” military, down the even the Government Contractors that support them! Posted below is a shortened Press Release from the Department of Defense (DOD) of these fallen Heroes names. I also searched for a “Tribute” video to post along with this article and while searching came across a tribute specifically for one of the fallen “Jesse Pittman” that was also done in honor of them all. Please watch the video and “Like” and Tweet it or share it on your Facebook (There are buttons at the bottom of article for this)

CODBUNKER.com will also be posting a link to the Navy Seal Foundation in the sidebar to the right ->
I wonder if somehow Glen Schofield (CEO Sledghammer Games) could find a way to get these Hero’s names to scroll in the final credits of Modern Warfare 3 (released in November)??? His Twitter is @GlenSchofield hint hint ;)

Thank you to ALL of our Heroes for your Bravery, Dedication, and service to our country and way of life, and God Bless each and every one of you, and God Bless your families that will carry on your memories!
